Horrific Violence Over Independence Day Weekend!

Mass Murder in Highland Park, 12 Killed and 68 Wounded in Chicago Over Independence Day Weekend

“I am saddened by the senseless loss of life by deranged individuals who are intent on doing evil.”

Shelbyville, IL – Over the July 4th holiday weekend Chicago registered 12 individuals killed and another 68 wounded and on Independence Day a lone gunman shot and killed 7 individuals and wounded nearly four dozen more who were watching the Highland Park parade. The gunman is in custody after police tracked and pursued him for hours following the shooting. Yesterday, he confessed to the murder. The day after the mass murder, Gov. Pritzker issued a disaster proclamation for Highland Park to recover from the mass murder.  No similar disaster declaration has been issued at any time by Governor Pritzker for every weekend occurrence of violence in Chicago or elsewhere.

Propaganda at the Pump Starting July 1st

Propaganda at the Pump Starting July 1st

Illinois Retailers had their lawsuit dismissed over requirement from Gov. Pritzker to put a sticker on the pump saying the 2-cent gas tax increase scheduled to go into effect on July 1st is suspended for six months.

Retailers threatened to put the required information inside their own sticker letting consumers know the real story – that politicians have more than doubled the gas tax since 2019. I hope they follow through and post this public service announcement.

Memorial Day 2022

pastedGraphic.png

This solemn holiday reminds us of how privileged we truly are to be able to live free because of the military men and women who served our country and sacrificed their lives. We are reminded to never take freedom for granted because so many people lost their lives fighting for what we have.

We honor the bravery and dedication of these American heroes. They may have come from different walks of life, but they all shared the same qualities: courage, honor, respect, strength, and selflessness, to name a few.

They all followed the same path and shared the same fate. We are left in awe as we live amid the family and friends that they have left behind, and we are left to think of what we can do to make our country better so that we can continue to honor what they stood for.
