Thank you for joining the fight to end the culture of corruption in Illinois and change our state.
Our goal is to get an advisory referendum on the ballot asking voters if they want the power to recall their elected officials.
Download and sign the petition, ask your friends and neighbors to sign it, and then send it back to us.
Our movement seeks to empower voters with another tool to hold elected officials accountable between elections since the politicians have proven to be incapable of doing it themselves.

DEMAND BETTER:
How to talk about the initiative
- Illinois voters should have the power to recall elected officials so that they can finally end the culture of corruption and increase accountability. Accountability is essential to restoring trust in state government.
- Politicians work for us, not the other way around. Without accountability, we will always have problems. When the system is broken, families don’t get help, prosperity can’t grow, and opportunities don’t flourish. In Illinois, we are feeling the negative consequences of elected officials who aren’t accountable.
- Our movement will empower you to hold politicians accountable immediately and not have to wait until the next election.
- Empowering voters with cleaning up their governments will achieve better outcomes. Politicians have failed to hold each other accountable and can’t be trusted to serve your best interests.
- Illinois ranks the third most corrupt state in the nation. The current legislative watchdog resigned in disgust citing “true ethics reforms is not a priority” in the latest General Assembly.
- For example, Sen. Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park) remains Senator of the 24th District two years after he was indicted on federal embezzlement charges. He isn’t up for reelection until 2022.
- In Chicago, the most corrupt city in the nation, Alderman Carrie Austin and Alderman Patrick Daley Thompson remain serving on the City Council after both have been indicted this year. They aren’t up for reelection until 2023.
- Embattled politicians shouldn’t have the power to control your family’s future in Illinois.
- Corruption costs the state of Illinois $556 million a year. The culture of corruption punishes families and discourages businesses and other families from coming to the state.
- For too long, our state is set up to protect the well-connected and ignore working-class families. Our movement will restore power back to the people.
